N2 - Key lime (Citrus aurantifolia), also called “limón sutil” in Peru, is a crop of major importance in the agro-exports of the country, cultivated mostly in the north, with medium to low technology in poor soils. The objective was to evaluate the influence of foliar applications of magnesium and iron on lemon productivity and quality. The treatments studied were: T1 (control), T2 (MgO 34%-500 mL 200 L–1), T3 (MgO 34%-600 mL 200 L–1), T4 (Fe EDHA 6%-800 g 200 L–1), T5 (MgO 34%-500 mL 200 L–1 + Fe EDHA 6%-800 g 200 L–1), T6 (MgO 34%-600 mL 200 L–1 + Fe EDHA 6%-800 g 200 L–1), T7 (Fe EDHA 6%-1. 12 kg 200 L–1), T8 (MgO 34%-500 mL 200 L–1 + Fe EDHA 6%-1.12 kg 200 L–1), T9 (MgO 34%-600 mL 200 L–1 + Fe EDHA 6%-1.12 kg 200 L–1). The variables evaluated were: extra quality (Cal. Ext.), first quality (Cal. Prim.), second quality (Cal. Seg.), factory quality (Cal. Fabric.), yield per hectare (Rdto. Ha), juice volume (Vol. Juice), total soluble solids (SST), equatorial diameter (DEF) and polarfruit diameter (DPF), and the DEF/DPF ratio. The following tests “ANOVA”, “correlation analysis” and principal component analysis (PCA) were performed. In the PCA, two components (C) were obtained; C1 (45.40%) and C2 (21.70%) which explain 67.10%-variability of the study. The commercial variables were grouped into three groups, G-I: first quality; G-II: second quality (Cal. Sec.), DPF, DEF, Vol. Juice and SST; G-III: Cal. Ex. and Rdto. Ha. T9 improved the variables studied by decreasing Cal. Sec., improving the most demanded qualities (Extra and prim) and B/C 4.70.
