Polynomial Equation for Compliance of a Healthy Lung Using MATLAB

Resumen

This work used a physical model based on a system of vertical communicating vessels adding a plunger with linear displacement, a physical analysis was made finding a mathematical expression of a linear type as a function of the displacement of the plunger. To overcome this linearity, polynomial interpolation was carried out to graph the inspiratory and expiratory curve of the compliance of a healthy lung as a function of the displacement of the embolus of the physical model, developing a script for each phase, inspiration and expiration, using MATLAB. Finally, point smoothing was performed to find the highest degree polynomial equation, and then we validated said equation from the geogebra graphing calculator and matplotlib.
